Bowood House and Gardens, Calne
The Devizes Regency Dancers are an esteemed group dedicated to the revival and promotion of historical dance forms from the Regency era. Based in Devizes, Wiltshire, this passionate ensemble invites enthusiasts and novices alike to experience the elegance and joy of period dancing. On a recent visit to Bowood to find a peaceful place to read a book and shut out the chaos of life for a while, I came across these wonderful group of people dressed in their regency finery, walking around the walled garden. It was lovely to see and added something to my time there. I hope they come back again.
