Glastonbury
Introduction
This is an annual event at Glastonbury Abbey. I went last year and really enjoyed it. The main lesson I learnt from last year was to take lunch with you as the queues are long. This year the weather was mixed but it was still a good atmosphere and plenty of people, although most seemed to hold off until the afternoon to see what the weather would do.
The cost was not too bad for tickets and it is easier to pre-book. There was also a small donation of £2 for a program. There was plenty to see and do including some demonstrations on the large and small arenas. The main highlight was the knights on horse back doing demonstrations including jousting.

Photo Opportunity
Although my photography has improved a lot since last year I haven’t practiced this type of event a great deal. The main issue I had was the number of people for the big demonstrations and not getting the clear shots that I wanted.
Knights on horse back move very quickly. After a few tries I gave up trying to get a decent photo and concentrated on the other smaller demonstrations. I need more practice at this type of event and perhaps next time take more photos of the reactions rather than trying to get a perfect shot of jousting.
