Chippenham
Introduction
This is a new place for me to visit and one that a friend told me about as somewhere to take photos. It’s not that far from where I live and is a favourite place for dog walkers. It has a car park right next to it and is connected to the footpaths that lead along the river into town one way and around Pewsham and eventually to the canal in the other.
I’ve been looking for a place to practice that offers a few different things for a while. I follow a handful of photographers on social media that often visit Glastonbury Tor or other exotic places and I’ve wanted to find something like that for myself. This may be a good candidate.
There are some interesting paths, wooden animal statues and lots of wildlife. Definitely an early morning place.

Camera Colour Profiles
Since the last blog I’ve discovered colour profiles in Adobe Lightroom. When using RAW files in Lightroom it will map the colour profile to its own. You can reset it to match the one on your camera. This has apparently been a problem with Canon cameras.
Since discovering this on a YouTube video its become part of my work flow and has made a big difference to the colours, especially as I use the Landscape colour profile on my Canon EOS 50D.
The other change has been to upgrade my camera from a Canon EOS 50D to a Canon EOS 2000D. I’ve also bought a 50mm Lens. More on that in my next blog.
