Introduction
Lyme Regis in Dorset, located on the beautiful Jurassic Coast, is a charming seaside town known for its stunning landscapes and rich history. Famous for its fossil-rich beaches and the iconic Cobb Harbour, Lyme Regis offers a mix of natural beauty and quaint town life. Whether you’re interested in exploring its unique shops and cafes or enjoying a day by the sea, Lyme Regis is a perfect destination for a relaxing or adventurous visit.
This is one of my favourite places and somewhere that I’ve visited quite a few times over the last few years. The challenge, as always is to try and get capture a different view with each visit. One of my favourite places in the morning is the beach cafe, where you can relax and enjoy a peaceful start to the day. They also supply umbrellas avoid sharing breakfast with the seagulls.

There are several places that I would recommend visiting. There are several beaches as8de from the main two on the sea front. They provide some great scenic views are are usually less busy. I would also recommend the park, which has great views over the bay.
I was pleased with these photos but I need to practice shooting into the sun a bit more. Something I’ve done since this visit at the end of June. I did get some good shots on the beach at the cafe and perhaps somewhere I should have taken more advantage of.
I’ve continued to use the scene modes on the camera but I do always set the white balance, colour profile and light correction. I prefer the landscape / vivid colour profile set to low correction otherwise some bright colours get blown out.
